INGREDIENTS: 

For Dough :

  • Maida - 1 cup.
  • Rava/sooji - 2 tbsp.
  • Ajwain - 1/4tsp.
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp.
  • Oil - 2 tbsp.
  • Salt.
  • Water.
For Stuffing :
  • Boiled potato - 2-3.(meshed)
  • Green chili - chopped.
  • Turmeric powder.
  • Chilli powder.
  • Dry mango powder/ amchur.
  • cumin powder.
  • coriander seeds.
  • coriander leaves - chopped.
  • Garam masala powder.
  • Ginger-garlic paste.
  • Salt.
For Maida Paste :
  • Maida.
  • Water.
For Deep Frying :
  • Cooking oil.

RECIPE:
  • Take all the ingredients of preparing a dough in a large mixing bowl and knead properly.
  • Cover it and rest for 30 minutes.
  • Take another bowl and mix all the ingredients mentioned above for stuffing.
  • Take ingredients of maida paste in a bowl and mix properly to make lump-free and flowing consistency maida paste.
  • Make a thin chapati from the dough and spread stuffing over it uniformly.
  • Roll it tightly and cut into medium sized pieces.
  • Dip these pieces in maida paste prepared above.
  • Fry them in hot cooking oil in a pan.
  • Fry till golden brown.

SERVE HOT WITH GREEN CHUTNEY OR KETCHUP.😋

It is one of the most popular fast foods in Nepal.  Momo has become a traditional delicacy in Nepal, Tibet and among Nepalese/Tibetan communities in Bhutan, as well as  Sikkim  state and  Darjeeling district  of India.
