Khoya Pouch


Khoa or Khoya is a dairy product made by either dried whole milk or milk thickened by heating in an open iron pan. It is lower in moisture than typical fresh cheese.
It is widely used for making sweets. This recipe is a sweet and delicious recipe of the fried pouches with the goodness of khoya.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Khoa or Khoya.
  • Sugar powder.
  • Elaichi powder.
  • Bread.
  • Butter.
  • Sugar.
RECIPE:
  • Take khoya in a pan and heat it.
  • Take it in an another pan and let it cool down. Add sugar powder and elaichi powder. 
  • Take a slice of bread. Apply some water and press it with hands.
  • Place some above-prepared khoya mixture and pack it.
  • Fry these pouches in the butter.
  • Heat an another pan, add sugar and melt it.
  • Roll fried pouches in melted sugar and place in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
SERVE HOT AS A DESSERT :)

It is one of the most popular fast foods in Nepal.  Momo has become a traditional delicacy in Nepal, Tibet and among Nepalese/Tibetan communities in Bhutan, as well as  Sikkim  state and  Darjeeling district  of India. Momos have also spread to other countries like United States (some parts), UK and India. INGREDIENTS : FOR DOUGH : 2 cups All purpose flour(Maida). 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 tsp Baking powder. FOR STUFFING : 1 cup grated carrots. 1 cup grated cabbage. Oil. 1/2 cup chopped onions. 1 tsp chopped garlic. 1 tsp Soy Sauce. Salt. 1/4 tsp Vinegar. 1/4 tsp Black Pepper.
